Nomination and Induction Policy
The South Australian Music Hall of Fame recognises individuals, venues and events that have made outstanding and enduring contributions to the music industry in South Australia through leadership, innovation, service and professional excellence.
Eligibility
· Minimum of 10-15 years of meaningful industry involvement;
· Significant contribution locally, nationally or internationally;
· Individuals, venues and events;
· Posthumous nominations permitted after two years.
· Is recognized as a South Australian **
Eligible Categories
· Artists with industry-building influence;
· Managers, agents, promoters;
· Label executives or founders;
· Producers, engineers;
· Publishers;
· Venue operators and event directors, venues and events;
· Broadcasters, journalists, educators;
· Music technology innovators;
· Industry advocates and leaders.
Nomination Process
· Nominations may be submitted by industry peers, organisations or the public.
· All nominations must be supported by documented evidence.
Assessment Process
· An independent judging panel evaluates nominations using the approved scoring matrix.
· Judges must declare conflicts of interest;
· Decisions are final and confidential.
Integrity and Conduct
Nominees may be excluded where unresolved serious legal or ethical matters exist.
Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed every 3-5 years to ensure alignment with international best practice.
** A “South Australian” is someone who was either:
· Born in the State
· Emigrated to the State
· Has resided in the State for over 50% of their life.

· Clear evidence of excellence in their field.
Longevity and Consistency
· Minimum of 10-15 years of meaningful industry involvement (recommended).
· Sustained contribution rather than one-off success.
Influence on Others
· Mentorship or development of artists or industry professionals.
· Shaping Industry standards, practices or new markets.
· Recognised by peers as influential.
Innovation and Advancement
· Introduction of new business models, technologies, marketing methods or industry practices.
