In 1993, the Tonkin family took over the reins, and under their guidance, The Gov has become synonymous with Adelaide's vibrant music scene. This family-run business has been recognized for its dedication to live music, receiving numerous awards, including the Australian Hotel Association's Best Entertainment Venue in Australia.
