Adelaide Town Hall

Inducted 2 October 2019

The Adelaide Town Hall has a rich history dating back to when it was built in 1866 as the central hub for local government and community events.  Over the years, it has hosted hundreds of events, including concerts, balls, and civic receptions. The venue's excellent acoustics and grand architecture made it an ideal space for live music performances.

On its Australian tour in 1964, The Beatles famously greeted the population of Adelaide from its balcony.  The Adelaide Town Hall continues to host a diverse range of live music events, from classical concerts to rock and pop performances. It remains the centrepiece of the city's cultural fabric hosting local, national and international performances.
