The Lion Hotel

Now known as the Lion Hotel, the Old Lion Hotel as it was originally known, has a rich history in North Adelaide dating back to 1851. Commencing in the 1970s, the Old Lion Hotel became a popular live music venue. 

Over the following three decades, the venie hosted hundreds of local, national, and international acts including Deborah Harry, Suzanne Vega, Rory Gallagher, INXS, Cold Chisel, Midnight Oil, The Sunnyboys, The Church, The Screaming Jets and TISM. It has provided a platform for countless local musicians and helping to further the careers of many notable Australian bands.
